If it was greatest wrestling package of all time regardless of push, that’s one thing, but we’re looking at also their position in the company, and because Savage was never given the chance to run with the ball outside of maybe a few months in 92 or when Hogan was off doing a movie, he’s more in that 11-20 range in my opinion. I’d say the top three has to be some combination of Austin, Hogan, and Sammartino. (Part 5)

One last thing I want to say is in regards to Randy Savage finishing first last list. It’s hard for me to say he’s the greatest of all time when he never really was the face of the WWE. At most, he was portrayed as second behind Hogan. (Part 4)

Yes, you don’t have to be the best skilled wrestler to have great matches. Just look at Ultimate Warrior. He has a ton of them. But to put Vince McMahon over someone like a Randy Orton or a Bret Hart or a Shawn Michaels feels a bit like not being able to see the forest through the trees. I don’t think he deserves to be on the list because it’s kinda a disservice to the actual trained wrestlers. (Part 3)

Is he the greatest wrestling character of all time? Probably. Is he the greatest heel of all time? Most definitely. But the point of the project is to compile all the attributes into one list. And while he has a ton of great matches, it’s in spite of his limitations as an athlete. If guys like Tyler Bate get dinged on poor promo work, the same standard should be held for Vince’s in ring abilities. (Part 2)

Since you guys are reading the comments, I’d thought I’d leave one more. To extend on my thoughts on Bobby Heenan, I wouldn’t put Vince McMahon in my top 100 list either. I know likely he’s going to finish in your guys top 10s, but it’s hard for me to justify him being on the list when he’s a lousy wrestler. (Part 1)
